The defeat to Southampton means that Tottenham are now third in the Premier League table with 61 points from 30 matches.

Manchester United are only three points behind Spurs with a game in hand, while Arsenal and Chelsea are also in the hunt for a top-four place.

Spurs’ disappointing run of form in the Premier League is worrying in regard to them featuring in the Champions League next season.
