Tottenham Hotspur will be active in the summer transfer window, says Paul Miller.

Paul Miller has told Love Sport Radio that Tottenham Hotspur will be signing three or four new players in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham did not make a single signing in the summer of 2018, and the North London outfit also did not make additions to their squad in the January transfer window.

Former Tottenham central defender Miller believes that manager Mauricio Pochettino will sign three or four new players this summer.

Miller told Love Sport Radio: “I think we’ll be buying three or four players in the summer. There will be a few leave too as there always are, who might be a bit surplus. I have no doubt money will be made available.”

Miller added: “If we spend £100m this summer, we’ll be getting three decent players in and maybe two of those will be English.

“We need a full-back, a midfield player and maybe another striker. We need one of each, really.”

Signings needed

Tottenham do have a good squad, and in the likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris, the Premier League club have some brilliant players.

However, the North London outfit need to make their substitutes’ bench stronger, and they also need to look to the future and sign players who can make them good enough to compete with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title in the coming years.

Tottenham do not tend to spend big and do not splash the cash in transfer windows, and it will be interesting to see if chairman Daniel Levy changes that strategy this summer.
