Tottenham superstar Kane has reportedly appointed his brother as his personal manager.
Paul Miller has applauded Tottenham Hotspur striker and England captain Harry Kane’s decision to appoint his older brother, Charlie, as his manager, according to the Daily Mail.
The 25-year-old has decided to choose his brother to represent him, which will see 29-year-old Charlie manage his footballing and commercial affairs – with Kane’s social media pull reaching over 10million across multiple platforms.
A directory company called CK66 was formed in the summer, as reported by the Mail, with Charlie a director. It was created to help manage Kane, and his brother has now become his sole manager in what is a normal next step.
Charlie has been heavily involved in Kane’s career, most recently orchestrating Kane’s new six-year, £200,000-a-week contract (Spotrac) with Spurs. Former Spurs defender Miller reacted on Twitter, praising the decision.
Charlie’s role will now be to maximise his younger brother’s global pull via social media, as well as managing future contracts, commercial opportunities, career planning, charity work and indeed, building Kane’s brand.
On the pitch, Kane has continued his excellent goalscoring rate with 13 goals in 22 league and cup appearances. But it was an assist that was crucial on Tuesday night, setting up Lucas Moura to guide Spurs into the last 16 of the Champions League.
Kane is expected to start for Spurs on Saturday, as the north Londoners play host to struggling Burnley at Wembley.
