Radu Dragusin is in the building at Tottenham Hotspur and there is every chance that he could make his debut against Manchester United on Sunday at Old Trafford.
Paul Merson gave his thumbs up to Spurs bringing in the highly-rated centre-back, as well as the loan deal for Timo Werner.
It was described as ‘very good business’ by the pundit and he highlighted how Radu Dragusin has already tasted playing for a ‘big club’ before in Juventus, as he told Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports (13/01/24 at 2:15 pm).
The Romanian was signed from Genoa, but he came through the academy in Turin, before several loan spells led him to Genoa’s door.
Even though Bayern Munich tried to do everything they could to hijack the deal for the 21-year-old, he kept his word to Ange Postecoglou and signed for Tottenham.
That’s a very good sign for the Champions League-chasing side because it showcases his true character and someone who you can trust.
Either way, with the January transfer window not even at the halfway stage, Paul Merson is impressed by what Tottenham have already done.

“He was at Juventus, wasn’t he?!” said Merson. “So, he has been at a big football club. He knows what it’s like.
“It’s a good signing by Tottenham. They have done very good business, especially with Werner as well.”

It wasn’t so long ago that the Spurs fans were calling for his head. Everything, both on and off the field, seemed to be going wrong.
But fast forward to the present, and even though Harry Kane left in the summer, the club have done nothing but look up.
Levy deserves credit for that because he was the one who brought in Postecoglou, whilst he is also overseeing, alongside Johan Lange, some very good transfer business.
As of this moment, the mood amongst the Spurs fans is pretty positive and now the hope is that the new boys can back it all up by delivering out on the pitch.
