Tottenham Hotspur are currently right in the mix in the Premier League title race.

Paul Merson spoke exclusively to Sky Sports, and delivered his verdict on Tottenham’s hopes of winning the Premier League title this season, suggesting that if Mauricio Pochettino’s men beat Bournemouth on Boxing Day, they will be right in the hunt.
Spurs have been quite simply superb this season, and they currently sit in third spot in the Premier League table, six points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.
The Lilywhites are still in contention to win all four trophies, and to say that just before Christmas is testament to how good the north London outfit have been this season.
Merson spoke exclusively to Sky Sports, and insisted that Tottenham are very much in the race for the Premier League title this season:

“I expect Spurs to win this and if they do, they are still in the title hunt. This is a much easier game than Man City have, in my opinion, and before you know it, they can be challengers. So it is funny how it works.”
It is quite amazing to think that Pochettino failed to sign a single player during the summer transfer window.
Tottenham have undoubtedly improved this season, and Liverpool and Manchester City will be looking over the shoulders nervously.
Spurs are a serious outfit this season, and it is quite clear that they mean business.
They have back-to-back home games against Bournemouth and Wolves to come, followed by a trip to Cardiff City on New Year’s day, and should they take nine points from those games it will be impossible for people not to talk about Tottenham as genuine title contenders.
