Paul Merson is not expecting West Ham to repeat their weekend success.

West Ham produced the shock result of the weekend when they beat Chelsea 1-0.
The result was David Moyes’ first win as West Ham manager, and this week they face another tough test against Arsenal.
Former Gunners star Paul Merson believes his former side will beat West Ham by two clear goals, despite Arsene Wenger’s men’s recent mixed form of their own.

Arsenal have taken just one point from their last two games, two fewer than West Ham.
He said: “I still think Arsenal will win this, because Arsenal do have joy at West Ham, and they put so much into that win over Chelsea they might not have much left in the tank.”

While tiredness could be a factor, West Ham played 24 hours earlier than Arsenal’s weekend game, who also played a Europa League game last Thursday.
West Ham’s fatigue could be offset by the confidence gained from beating Chelsea, and what seemed previously like a ‘gimme’ for the Gunners may not be so easy despite Merson’s prediction of a comfortable win.
