Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers worked with Daniel Sturridge at Liverpool.

The former Arsenal attacking midfielder has pointed out the relationship that Sturridge and Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers had at Liverpool.
Rodgers managed the England international striker at the Reds, and under the former Celtic boss, the 29-year-old played some of his best football.
The former Chelsea and Manchester City striker – who earns £130,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season, and it is hard to see the Merseyside outfit offer him a new contract.
Merson said on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News on Saturday afternoon (1:17pm, April 27, 2019): “I wouldn’t be surprised if Sturridge was at Leicester next season.
“Sturridge knows Brendan Rodgers, Brendan Rodgers knows Sturridge. I think he will give just him the freedom to go out, play him and Maddison behind Vardy and let things happen.”

Daniel Sturridge to Leicester City?
Sturridge is a very good striker, but the main problem with him has been his injury issues.
If the Englishman remains fit, then he will be a very good player to have in any club’s squad.
Rodgers got the best out of Sturridge when he was the Liverpool manager, and perhaps the former Celtic boss could make a move for the 29-year-old in the summer transfer window.
