Paul Merson has suggested on Sky Sports News (1:16pm, May 1, 2021) that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jack Grealish should leave.
The former Arsenal and Villa star believes that Kane and Grealish are special players, and thinks that the two England internationals should look to leave their respective clubs if they want to win trophies.
It is unlikely that Villa will be able to challenge for the Premier League title anytime soon, but the Villans could clinch the FA Cup and/or the Carabao Cup in the coming years.
As for Spurs, the North London club were in the final of the Champions League and went close to winning the Premier League title not so long ago, and actually played in the Carabao Cup final last month.
Merson said on Sky Sports News (1:16pm, May 1, 2021): “Harry Kane now and Jack Grealish, if they get an opportunity to play for one of the big boys and win trophies, because money-wise, the money situation, they will get the money wherever they go, but for me I personally think it’s the medals, you want to win trophies.
“When you are special talents like Harry Kane and Jack Grealish, for me, it would be terrible if they finished their career and never had a medal, it really would.”

Should Harry Kane and Jack Grealish leave?
Kane is one of the best strikers in the world, and Grealish is one of the best attacking players in the Premier League.
If Spurs decide to sell Kane and Villa are willing to cash in on Grealish, then there will be a lot of clubs ready to sign them.
Kane has been at Tottenham his entire professional club football career so far, and Grealish is actually a Villa fan, and they may not be willing to leave.
Of course, money talks, and if the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City come calling, then it would be very tempting, but Spurs and Villa may not want to sell them.
