The former Arsenal star says Manchester City will not give their competitors a chance next season.

Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has told Sky Sports that the Gunners must win the title this season as Manchester City will not give anyone a chance next year.
Arsene Wenger’s side currently sit top of the Premier League table after nine games of the season.
They had enjoyed a run of six straight wins in the league before Saturday afternoon before that came to a halt in the 0-0 draw with Middlesbrough at the Emirates.

It has got the Arsenal faithful dreaming of a title challenge this season but Merson has warned the club that they have to each that goal this season as next year they will not be given a chance by Pep Guardiola’s side.
“They are the best of the best when they get going,” he told Sky Sports.
“This has got to be the year they deliver. For me, they have to deliver this year and I don’t think there will be any better time because next year I don’t think Manchester City will give anyone a chance.”

It remains to be seen if Arsenal can go on to secure the title this season, with it looking likely to be a very close race.
As many as five teams all potentially competing for the title this year, with just a point separating the Gunners in first from Tottenham Hotspur in fourth.
That is close, to say the least, and it will take Arsenal putting in much better performances than they managed on Saturday to ensure they emerge as champions come the end of the season.
