Nathan Redmond joined Southampton from Norwich City in the summer transfer window, while Manchester United signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free.

Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson has suggested to Sky Sports that Southampton winger Nathan Redmond is more of a bargain signing than Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Manchester United.
United signed Ibrahimovic on a free transfer in the summer following the Swedish striker’s departure from French giants Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the 2015-16 season.
Southampton recruited Redmond from Championship club Norwich City in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £10 million.
Former Arsenal attacker Merson has suggested that the 22-year-old former Birmingham City winger is a better bargain signing than 35-year-old United striker Ibrahimovic.

“This is a leftfield one, but I’m going for Nathan Redmond,” Merson told Sky Sports while picking Redmond as his top summer signing.
“He played up front at the start of the season and it didn’t really work, but he gave it everything and now he’s in a supporting role and a key to Southampton’s impressive form.
“For what they paid for him – around £10m – and the prices in football these days, he’s a bargain.
“People will say Zlatan Ibrahimovic as he was on a free but he’s not when you’re paying him £300,000 a week.
“He’s costing Manchester United a year what Southampton are paying Redmond for five seasons.”

Redmond has scored one goal and created 17 chances in seven Premier League appearances for Southampton so far this season.
Ibrahimovic has scored four goals and created eight chances in seven league games for United so far this campaign.
Southampton are 10th in the Premier League table at the moment with nine points from seven matches. United are currently sixth in the standings with 13 points from seven games.
