Everton reportedly wanted Abdoulaye Doucoure from Watford in the summer transfer window.

The former Arsenal star believes that Doucoure has not been playing well for Watford this season, but he thinks that the 26-year-old would not look out of place at the Gunners.
According to The Guardian, Everton wanted to sign the former France Under-21 international midfielder in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that the Toffees made a bid of £30 million for the former Rennes star, but it was turned down.
Merson wrote in The Daily Star: “Abdoulaye Doucoure has not looked himself. There was talk of him going to Manchester United and then PSG. And Everton made a bid for him too.
“Has his head been turned? Is he in a sulk? I think he’s a good player. He wouldn’t look out of place at Arsenal. But he needs to refocus and start performing again.”
Back in form soon?
Doucoure has not been great for Watford so far this season, and that is one of the main reasons why the Hornets have been struggling.
The 26-year-old did do well against Arsenal at the weekend, and perhaps that will now get him back to his best.
According to WhoScored, Doucoure took five shots, had a pass accuracy of 94%, won one header, and made three tackles and one interception.
