Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently in the midst of a really poor run of form.

Paul Merson answers questions during Gillette Soccer Saturday Live with Jeff Stelling on March 19, 2012 at the Bournemouth International Centre in Bournemouth, England.

Paul Merson suggested that other teams have figured out how to stop Wolves, by nullifying the central midfield partnership of Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports.

The Black Country outfit made a fine start to their Premier League campaign, but they have been brought back down to earth with a bang over this past month or so, taking just one point from their last six league outings.

Nuno Espirito Santo will surely be extremely worried with Wolves’ recent dip in form, and the Portuguese will be desperate for his side to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.

Wolves’ two most important players this season have arguably been Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho, but they haven’t been very effective in recent weeks.

And Paul Merson told Sky Sports how the rest of the Premier League have figured out how to nullify the Portuguese duo:

“Wolves are a funny team because they look the part. I watch them and think to myself they are a good team but they’ve only got one point from their last six games. That sort of form is not the sign of a good team! Teams are getting used to playing against them now and they are closing Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho down quickly to stop them playing.”

Things don’t get any easier for Wolves, with a clash with Chelsea at Molineux next up on the horizon, and Neves and Moutinho will have to rediscover their best form, if Nuno’s side have any chance whatsoever of beating the Blues.
