Tottenham Hotspur drew 2-2 with Juventus in the Champions league on Tuesday.

Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson was a guest on The Debate last night, and raved about the quality of the current Spurs side, labelling their performance against Juventus on Tuesday night as ‘mind-blowing’.
Tottenham were 2-0 down after just nine minutes against Max Allegri’s side in Turin on Tuesday night, and their fans must surely have been fearing the worst.
The Old Lady had won their last 11 consecutive games in all competitions, and had not conceded a home goal since November 5th.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were quite simply brilliant for the remainder of the game, however, dominating the Italian champions until the final whistle, and were arguably unlucky not to finish the game as winners.
Merson raved about Spurs’ performance against Juventus, during a guest appearance on The Debate, admitting that he loved watching Pochettino’s side in action:

“What Tottenham did to Juventus was mind-blowing. We don’t give credit when credit is due in this country, we often put great results down to luck or the opposition having an off day. Spurs were 2-0 down to a last season’s finalists, a team that had won 10 on the trot, and came back to dominate. They were phenomenal – I loved watching them. They took the game to Juventus. They were so much better that they were scary.”
Tottenham’s attention will now have to switch back to domestic competition, with a tricky looking fixture away at Rochdale in the FA Cup next up on their agenda.
And Pochettino’s men will have to be equally on top of their game, if they are to avoid a cup upset at Spotland.
