Everton are going strong in the Premier League at the moment.
Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson suggested on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, September 17, 2016) that Everton do not have enough quality players to have a hugely successful season.

The Toffees are expected to challenge for a top-six finish in the Premier League this season.
Former Arsenal attacker Merson believes that Ronald Koeman’s side will be fighting for a Champions League place.
The former England international, though, has shared his worry that Everton could struggle if they get injuries or lose star striker Romelu Lukaku in the January transfer window.
“I think they will be fighting for the top four,” said Merson about Everton on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, September 17, 2016).
“I think they have got a very good 13 players. My only worry would be the rest. If they get a couple of injuries, if Lukaku keeps on scoring like he does, he could be a £50 million target come January for someone.”
Everton have a number of very good players in the team, such as Leighton Baines, Ashley Williams, Ross Barkley, Lukaku and Seamus Coleman.
It will be hard for the Toffees to compete for a top-four finish, though, as there are much better teams than they are.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur will all believe that they are better than Everton.
