Paul Merson thinks that Aston Villa will struggle to score goals this season.

The former Villa star has raised doubts on Dean Smith’s side’s ability to score goals in the Premier League.
Merson has suggested that the Villans will struggle to score goals in the Premier League this season following the departure of Tammy Abraham in the summer.
The 21-year-old England international striker scored 26 goals and provided three assists in 40 Championship appearances for Villa last season, according to WhoScored.
The youngster was on loan at Villa last season, and the striker is now back at his parent club, Chelsea.
Merson said on The Debate show on Sky Sports Main Event on Monday night (10:52pm, August 12, 2019): “I worry for Villa and will they score enough goals. I don’t know where the goals are going to come from.
“I don’t know where the goals are going to come from. They lost Tammy Abraham last year who scored all their goals. That’s the worry for me – if they are going to score enough goals.”

Scoring goals
Abraham may have gone, but Villa signed Wesley Moraes from Club Brugge in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old Brazilian has arrived at Villa Park with a strong reputation, and Villa fans should be optimistic that he will score the goals the team need to be successful in the Premier League this season.
