Paul Merson has told Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

The former Arsenal star is confident that Tottenham will clinch one of the Champions League places.

“I think Tottenham are a certainty to get into the top four, I really do,” Merson told Sky Sports.

Tottenham are going strong in the Premier League at the moment, and their recent form and performances suggest that they have what it takes to maintain it for the rest of the season.

True, the North London outfit are going to find it hard and will have to compete with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool for the Champions League places, but Spurs have a good squad who have done it for the past two seasons.

It will be interesting to see how Tottenham cope with Champions League football from next month, although given that many of their injured players are starting to get back to their best form, it should not affect Spurs adversely.

Interestingly, back in November 2017, Merson told Sky Sports that Tottenham will not finish in the top four of the Premier League, suggesting that Spurs will lose focus due to the Champions League.

It seems that Merson has changed his mind about Tottenham…
