Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson praised Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, October 1, 2016).

Merson said that Son, who can play as a winger or as a forward, is proving to be a bonus for Tottenham.

“I think sometimes he doesn’t (know) as well (what he is going to do), which is a big advantage, but he is on fire,” said Merson about Son on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, October 1, 2016). “He is on fire.”

“He has been an absolute bonus,” added Merson.

Son has been in superb form for Tottenham so far this season and has been arguably their best attacking player.

The South Korea international has scored four goals and created 10 chances in three Premier League matches for Spurs so far this campaign.

The former Bayer Leverkusen star has scored one goal and created four chances in two Champions League games.

Son will be an important player for Tottenham on Sunday afternoon when they take on Manchester City at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.

The former Hamburger SV attacker’s movement could prove to be crucial in Spurs creating problems for City’s defence.

Tottenham have picked up 14 points from six Premier League matches so far this season and are currently third in the table.
