Would Liverpool star Mohamed Salah be a good replacement for Gareth Bale at Real Madrid in the summer transfer window?

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has suggested in The Daily Star that Real Madrid might make a move for Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah in the summer transfer window if former Tottenham Hotspur ace Gareth Bale leaves.

Merson, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, has stated that Salah is the perfect replacement for Wales international winger Bale at Madrid.

According to The Mirror, United are interested in signing the 28-year-old former Spurs star in the summer transfer window.

While praising 25-year-old Egypt international winger Salah, Merson wrote in The Daily Star: “The only trouble is, if Gareth Bale leaves Real Madrid this summer, then Salah is the perfect replacement.

“They’re both quick, they both score goals from all over, and I think Madrid might come in for him.”

Liverpool’s best player

Salah has been phenomenal for Liverpool so far this season and has been banging in the goals left, right and centre.

The 25-year-old winger has scored 28 goals and provided nine assists in the Premier League for the Reds so far this campaign.

The former Chelsea man has been the best player for Liverpool so far this campaign and has been one of the best footballers in the Premier League.

According to The Independent, Liverpool paid AS Roma a transfer fee of £34.3 million in the summer of 2017 in order to services of Salah, who reportedly earns £90,000 per week as salary at Anfield.
