The Sky Sports pundit believes Liverpool should try and sign the Arsenal man.

Paul Merson was a guest on Sky Sports this morning, and suggested Gunners ace Jack Wilshere as a potential signing for the Reds, with just six months remaining on his current deal at the Emirates.
The 25-year-old has suffered horrendous luck with injuries throughout his entire career, but he seems to be back to his best physically, having appeared in all but three of Arsenal’s last 14 games in all competitions.
It still remains unclear whether he will remain in north London beyond the end of his current deal with the Gunners, however, with plenty of other Premier League clubs interested in acquiring his services.

Merson believes that Wilshere is ideally suited to Liverpool, and vice-versa.
The former Arsenal star told Sky Sports:
“I think Liverpool would take him all day long. They rely on Coutinho to break people down, if you get Jack Wilshere as well then you’ve got two people who can break people down. At the moment they are very reliant on Coutinho. If Coutinho doesn’t do it, there are not too many others who can put the ball through the eye of a needle who play for Liverpool. For me I think Liverpool would be all over him.”

Whilst Arsenal fans are split on Wilshere, they would surely be against the idea of him leaving the club on a free transfer, and joining up with one of their direct Premier League rivals.
The Gunners face games against Liverpool and Chelsea over the next three weeks, and if Wilshere is omitted from the starting XI for those matches, he might just see his future lying away from the Emirates, and according to Paul Merson, Anfield would be the ideal destination for the England international.
