Paul Merson has had his say on West Ham winger Michail Antonio’s crucial mistake last weekend.
Antonio gave the ball away in injury time with the Hammers 2-1 up against Crystal Palace, and the Eagles made him pay by scoring a 97th minute equaliser.
Almost a week has passed since the error and Antonio has been heavily criticised.
He said: “West Ham last week, seriously… Michail Antonio should be on the verge of getting a two-week fine for what he did.
“I honestly cannot believe what he done, it was unbelievable.”
However if West Ham were in the business of fining players for poor performances, many of their stars would be almost penniless this season.
Antonio will be well aware of the mistake, and will be raring to go to try and put it right this weekend.
The Hammers take on Liverpool in the Saturday evening – a game Merson is tipping them to lose 3-1.
