Jose Mourinho recently left his role at Manchester United as Paul Merson offered his thoughts on him potentially becoming Tottenham Hotspur manager.

Paul Merson claimed that Jose Mourinho wouldn’t suit Tottenham after he was asked if the Portuguese would fit in at the London club.
During the Debate Show, which airs on Sky Sports, Merson responded to a supporter’s question about Mourinho being ‘a good fit’ at Spurs if Real Madrid were to come knocking for Mauricio Pochettino.
Three-time Premier League winner, Mourinho is currently out of a job after he was sacked by Manchester United before Christmas, with former striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer taking temporary charge.
On the other hand, in Spain, under the stewardship of Santiago Solari, Real Madrid are sitting fifth in La Liga, 10 points off leaders Barcelona following their 2-0 home defeat to Real Sociedad at the weekend.
When former Arsenal midfielder Merson was asked about Mourinho potentially becoming Tottenham manager, he issued this response:
“Jose, who?” Merson stated in a sarcastic manner. “Oh, Mourinho! No,” Merson told Sky Sports’ The Debate show on 07/01/2019 at 10:55 pm.

“Don’t get me wrong, I think he is one of the greatest managers of all time but the way Tottenham play and the way they like to play free-flowing football and score goals. No.”
Pochettino will be preparing his side for their EFL Cup semi-final first-leg encounter against Chelsea on Tuesday night as they aim to win their first piece of silverware under his stewardship.
Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Heung-min Son were on the scoresheet when Spurs beat Chelsea 3-1 during their Premier League encounter in November.
