West Bromwich Albion clinched a deal to sign Euro 2016 hero Hal Robson-Kanu on transfer deadline day, with SkySports reporting the deal’s completion.
Robson-Kanu was a free agent after allowing his Reading contract to run down, and backing himself to earn a Premier League move.
He did just that with his Euro 2016 performances for Wales, remembered most for an outstanding goal in a quarter-final win over Belgium.

West Brom have a long standing interest in the winger, with HITC Sport exclusively reporting their interest back in June 2015, when Reading were asking for £2.5 million for his signature.
Now they have got their man on a free transfer, and pundit Paul Merson has told SkySports he believes the Baggies should be pleased with the deal.
Speaking to SkySports News HQ’s deadline day coverage at 9pm, he said: “He is a good signing, he’s a handful. I like the lad, if he puts in a shift like that [at the Euros] every week at WBA he will be a good addition.”

Robson-Kanu has not played since the European Championships, and will want to quickly get up to speed.
Analyst Niall Quinn raised this as a potential concerns, telling SkySports News: “It’s surprising really. He did really well with at the Euros. I thought three or four clubs would be interested in signing him, but he’s got his move, he let his contract run down, good luck to him, but it could take him a while to catch up.”
