West Bromwich Albion have made one of the most impressive signings of the transfer window by signing Grzegorz Krychowiak on loan.

The Poland international signs on loan from Paris Saint-Germain for the season.

Krychowiak’s name is not the most intuitive to spell at the first time of asking, and it is likely to cause problems for pundits to pronounce correctly too.

One famed for his struggles with often simpler names is ex-Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson, a regular on SkySports’ Soccer Saturday.

He will likely be hoping to avoid getting assigned West Brom games, after reacting with amusement and perhaps fear at seeing the Baggies’ latest signing.

Krychowiak has great experience and was a star in La Liga with Sevilla.

His addition is a real coup for the Baggies, who hope by the end of the season the Pole really is a household name everybody up and down the country will be very familiar with.
