West Bromwich Albion are believed to be in the market for new additions.

Merson simply cannot see West Brom taking any risks with their transfer business, as they are in such a precarious position.
The Baggies are currently sat in 19th place in the Premier League table, and have been on an awful run of form.
West Brom’s win over Brighton & Hove Albion yesterday was their first for 20 matches.

And Merson claims that he can only see West Brom signing players that will help them out if they do go down this term.
“How much are they going to spend? And if they do take a chance, I think they will be buying good Championship players, in case they do go down,” he said. “I don’t they think will be buying £20 million players.”
Alan Pardew is believed to be working with a limited budget at West Brom this month, but a range of players have been linked.

It may be that the Baggies have to offload star central defender Jonny Evans to raise the funds for the additions that they need.
Pardew is known to want a striker at the Hawthorns, as West Brom have struggled to score goals throughout the course of the campaign.
