Tottenham could go top of the table with a win at West Brom.

Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson admits to being majorly impressed by Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs remain the Premier League’s only unbeaten side, with four straight victories seeing them climb to within a point of leaders Manchester City in second place.
Next up is a trip to West Bromwich Albion who, despite a recently completed takeover and ongoing speculation regarding manager Tony Pulis, have somewhat exceeded expectations so far, sitting ninth in the table.

The same could perhaps be said about Tottenham, who were few people’s favourites for the title despite coming mightily close last season.
Their downfall then was, according to many, the loss of key players at crucial moments – although head coach Mauricio Pochettino insists the problem was a mental one – but a handful of shrewd additions by the Argentine have ensured that the absence of Harry Kane has barely been felt.

Tottenham have won all four of their fixtures in all competitions without their top scorer from each of the past two campaigns, and Merson, the former Arsenal midfielder, expects them to continue where they left off and brush West Brom aside by a 3-0 scoreline.
“Tottenham are playing very well at the moment and while the Man City result was brilliant, these are the types of games that win you Premier League titles,” Merson wrote in his weekly predictions column for Sky Sports.

“If Harry Kane got injured last season you couldn’t see Spurs winning a game for toffee. Now it seems like nothing has changed despite his absence, which is a massive compliment to the other players.
“West Brom have turned the corner but I have been majorly impressed by Tottenham.”
