Will Tottenham continue their impressive recent record, and beat Manchester United?
Tottenham Hotspur are in search of a fourth successive Premier League victory this Sunday, but face formidable opposition.
They host a Manchester United side who are unbeaten in their last eight matches, winning seven on their rise to third in the table.
It will be Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal’s first clash against the side who approached him to take over prior to the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino.
He will not be picking up all three points predicts SkySports pundit Paul Merson, who foresees a share of the spoils.
“Tottenham are flying along at the moment and are getting some excellent results. The same can be said for Manchester United but despite their good results both teams are not setting the world on fire with their performances.
“I cannot separate these two and I think we’ll see a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane.”
Merson has had a run of calling games against Tottenham unsuccessfully, including backing them to draw by the same score against Leicester on Boxing Day, a match they won 2-1.
A repeat for Spurs would be ideal and give them a real chance of finishing the day above rivals Arsenal, who face fifth placed West Ham.
