Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool face off on Saturday in the early kick-off, with both sides keen to score an important win over a competitor.
It is Liverpool’s third away game in succession as work finishes up on Anfield’s Main Stand, and they have had mixed results so far, conceding five goals in six games.

One of those was a win, a 4-3 victory away to Arsenal, but their unpredictability showed as they were sunk 2-0 at Burnley.
A trip to Tottenham, who have a draw and a win from their opening two games, is a tough ask for Liverpool, and pundit Paul Merson is predicting a win for the hosts.

Speaking to SkySports, Merson believes Liverpool are not good enough to beat a strong Tottenham side – and predicts a 2-1 win for Spurs.
He said: “I fancy Tottenham. Take away the Philippe Coutinho goal against Arsenal on the opening day and Liverpool were terrible in the first half. I think Spurs will have too much for them going forward.
“I have been impressed with Spurs. They had a hard start at Everton, dug in and got the draw. They didn’t play great against Crystal Palace last weekend but they were solid and got the late goal. That’s what you have to do.”

Merson added that little should be read into the slow start of 2015/16 golden boot winner Harry Kane, and backs the striker to come good.
It will have been a long week for Liverpool after their defeat at Turf Moor, and it will be a surprise if they keep a clean sheet as they did at White Hart Lane last season in Jurgen Klopp’s first game in charge, a 0-0 draw.
