Arsenal play host to Liverpool in the Premier League this evening.

Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson predicted that Liverpool will be too strong for Arsenal when the pair meet at the Emirates this evening, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports, suggesting that Jürgen Klopp’s front three will cause the Gunners all sorts of problems.
Both teams are on excellent runs in the league. Liverpool haven’t lost a Premier League game all season, whilst Arsenal have won seven and drawn one of their last eight league outings.
The Merseyside outfit sit in second position in the table, whilst the Gunners currently occupy fourth spot, and a win for Unai Emery’s side would see them close the gap to Klopp’s men to just a single point.
Merson, though, believes that Arsenal will have their work cut-out against Liverpool.
The Sky Sports pundit explained how his former side’s defence is not strong enough to cope with the Reds’ attack, when speaking to Sky Sports:

“I can’t see anything but a Liverpool win. I think this is the day Arsenal show some big cracks. I just think the defence is terrible, all over the place, and no different to what it was before. If Hector Bellerin is injured, you’re talking about Granit Xhaka at left-back, a central midfield player, and Stephan Lichtsteiner at right-back, who has been a good player but is nearly 35 now. People will say: ‘Oh Arsenal will score goals…’ but Liverpool’s defence has been superb. I watched Arsenal win 11 games on the trot, and they could have easily lost four of them, let alone drawn them.”
The game kicks of at 17:30 and can be seen exclusively live on BT Sport.
