Newcastle United are due to face Rotherham United on Saturday.
Paul Merson has predicted on Sky Sports News, which was broadcast on 30th September, that Newcastle United will demolish Rotherham United at the weekend.
Newcastle head to Yorkshire on the back of a come-back victory against Norwich City in midweek, and have momentum on their side.
Rafael Benitez’s men scored twice in injury time to get the three points against Norwich, and Merson believes that they will breeze past Rotherham on Saturday.
“I think Newcastle will win with a cricket score, if they get it right, and their attitude is right,” Merson said. “It’s a lovely pitch and Rotherham, with nice dressing rooms and stadium. I think this will be at least 4-0, at least.”
Newcastle went into the campaign as the favourites to win the Championship, and they have already shown their promotion credentials.
The Magpies have won six of their last eight league matches to move up to third in the division.
Rotherham, meanwhile, have made a shaky start – with their defence looking particularly vulnerable.
The Millers have conceded 24 goals in 10 games and currently sit at the bottom of the division.
If Newcastle win they could move to the top of the Championship standings, while a Rotherham win may take them out of the relegation zone.
