Merson believes Sunderland will be defeated by Everton.

Former Premier League ace Paul Merson has told SkySports he believes Everton will beat Sunderland this weekend.
The ex-Arsenal midfielder is predicting a 2-0 away win for the Toffees, and misfortune for David Moyes against his former club.
The last time David Moyes faced Everton it was as Manchester United boss, with the defeat at Goodison Park preceding his sacking.

While he will be keen to prove a point and get Sunderland up and running after a slow start to the season, Merson believes Everton are simply too strong.
He explained: “I know David Moyes is looking for his first victory but I don’t think it comes against Everton, who are my dark horses this year.
“Ross Barkley will be champing at the bit to make sure he gets going, and it’s only a matter of time before the goals start coming for Romelu Lukaku.
“Sunderland will play into their hands and I think it’s an away win for Ronald Koeman’s side.”

Moyes’ Sunderland have just one point from their first three games, recording a draw against Southampton in their last match.
They came close to winning that match, conceding a last minute equaliser from long range which denied them the three points.
Everton meanwhile are in fourth, unbeaten under Ronald Koeman, and winning their last two league games in succession.
