Paul Merson predicts Liverpool will lose maximum five matches

Liverpool will face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has predicted in The Daily Star that Liverpool are not going lose more than four or five matches in the Premier League this season.

Merson made the prediction ahead of the league fixture between Tottenham and Liverpool at the Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are at the top of the league table at the moment with 12 points from four matches, level on points with Chelsea and Watford, who are second and third respectively in the standings.

Former Arsenal star Merson does not see Liverpool losing more than five Premier League matches this season.

Merson wrote in The Daily Star: “How many games are Liverpool going to lose this season? Not more than four or five, I should think.”

Challenging for the Premier League title

Liverpool have a strong squad, and the Reds are certainly in a great position this season to challenge the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United for the Premier League title.

It is not going to be easy, but the Reds have some wonderful players such as Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, and the Anfield faithful should be confident.
