Tottenham host Brighton this week.

Tottenham Hotspur take on Brighton and Hove Albion in midweek, aiming to record another big home win.

Paul Merson has told SkySports he predicts they record another big win.

Spurs thrashed Stoke City 5-1 at Wembley at the weekend, after winning 3-0 against APOEL Nicosia days earlier.

Now with Manchester City on the horizon days later, it is essential Spurs carry on their momentum with a victory over Brighton.

Brighton lost 2-0 away to Huddersfield at the weekend, and it would be a surprise if they can get anything against Spurs.

Paul Merson told SkySports that he believes Tottenham will win 4-0 on Wednesday night.

He said: “Tottenham looked really good the other day, they played some really good football. Brighton were absolutely awful at Huddersfield.

“This could be a huge score if Brighton play anything like they did at the weekend. This is a big race for the top four for Tottenham, and you don’t want to be that team that misses out on the top four.”

Spurs are back on form, but they have slipped up at Wembley against teams they have been expected to beat this season, with West Brom and Burnley both claiming draws at the stadium.

Brighton will be motivated to make up for Saturday’s poor performance, and a shock result is not out of the question – so long as they do not make the same mistake Stoke did and concede an early goal.
