Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen is praised highly by former Arsenal ace Paul Merson.

Merson has compared the Tottenham attacking midfielder to Manchester United legend Paul Scholes.
The Sky Sports pundit has also suggested that Spurs fans should be worried about the future of the Denmark international.
Merson has stated that Tottenham need to tie down Eriksen to a long-term contract.
“I think Eriksen is the club’s best player and most of this Spurs team-mates would probably agree,” Merson wrote in The Daily Star. “I’ve always been a big fan of his. He reminds me of Paul Scholes.”
Merson added: “If I was a Spurs fan, I’d be worried because someone will come in for him. They need to sort that out and if it means giving him a fortune, then you have to do it. He deserves it. He is the one Arsenal will have to stop in the derby.”

Quality footballer
Eriksen is one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe, and the Dane is arguably the most important player in the Tottenham team alongside star striker Harry Kane.
The Denmark international will be important for Tottenham in their quest to win against Arsenal in the North London derby this weekend.
The 26-year-old has provided four assists in seven Premier League starts, and has scored two goals and provided one assist in four Champions League for Tottenham so far this season, according to WhoScored.
Tottenham have defeated Chelsea and Inter Milan over the past few days, and they will be confident of winning against Arsenal on Sunday.
