Former Arsenal attacking midfielder Paul Merson said on Sky Sports Premier League last Saturday evening (5:08pm, February 9, 2019) that Fabinho played well for Liverpool against Bournemouth at the weekend.

Fabinho featured for Liverpool in their Premier League game against Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

The Brazil international midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Jurgen Klopp’s side won 3-0.

According to WhoScored, the 25-year-old – who can also operate as a right-back – had a pass accuracy of 88.3%, won one header, made four tackles, two interceptions and one clearance, and played two key passes.

Fabinho was superb in the first half, as he dictated proceedings and imposed himself in the middle of the park.

The Brazilian has made 12 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Former Arsenal star Merson was following Liverpool’s match against Bournemouth at the weekend, and he was impressed with the performance of Fabinho.

Merson said on Sky Sports Premier League last Saturday evening (5:08pm, February 9, 2019): “Fabinho, I thought he was brilliant in the first half when they needed someone to move the ball quickly, played some decisive balls through the gaps.”
