Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson has predicted in The Daily Star that Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino will not get a bigger job in England.
Merson has also suggested that Pochettino’s next managerial role will be in Spain.
“I do like Mauricio Pochettino – he’s a top manager,” the former England international wrote in The Daily Star. “He won’t be far off being the next Barcelona or Real Madrid boss.
“He won’t get a bigger job in England, will he? He won’t get in at the Manchester clubs now and he’s got no chance of the Arsenal job I think his next move will be to a big club abroad.
“He already knows the Spanish league and all the players there. It’s going to be a case of how long Spurs can keep hold of him.”

Merson’s comments do make sense, especially as all the top six or seven clubs in England have managers who seem to be set for the next three or four years.
Manchester United and Manchester City appointed Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola respectively this summer.
Arsene Wenger has been the Arsenal manager for years and does not appear to be a hurry to leave his post anytime soon.

Chelsea brought in Antonio Conte in the summer, while Liverpool and Everton have Jurgen Klopp and Ronald Koeman respectively.
Pochettino is a very good manager and has done a great job at Tottenham so far, guiding the North London outfit to a top-four finish in the Premier League last season.
Tottenham fans should not worry about the Argentine boss leaving anytime soon, as the future for Spurs is bright.
The North London club are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League yet again this season.
