Paul Merson believes that Wolverhampton Wanderers have a special talent on their hands in Morgan Gibbs-White.

Gibbs-White has regularly come off the bench for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men this season, but went into last weekend’s clash with Chelsea still awaiting his first start at the highest level.
That run came to an end against the Blues, and Gibbs-White unquestionably vindicated Nuno’s decision to throw him in from the outset as he was sensational against Maurizio Sarri’s side.
He provided an assist in the 2-1 win and caused the visitors all sorts of problems throughout the contest. Merson lauded his performance and suggested that he could be a superstar, before hinting that he should look to stay with Wolves.

“I was talking to Tim Sherwood about him the other week and he said he could play for anybody. He said he’s that good. He’s full of confidence, takes players on, and that’s what I like at Wolves, they’re all very confident. It’s good place to go and be a kid and get into the team, the way they all play and pass the ball around, they all move it well. And fair play to the lad, he was absolutely outstanding.”

It would be no surprise if Wolves soon had to field major offers for Gibbs-White. The 18-year-old is quickly establishing himself as a hugely important player to Nuno’s side and is only going to get better in the coming years.
He will be hoping to make a similar impact when Wolves travel to St James’ Park to face Newcastle in their latest Premier League clash on Sunday.
