Paul Merson says that West Ham United could lose fans to Manchester United.

Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson has suggested in The Daily Star that West Ham United could lose fans to Manchester United.
West Ham’s start to the 2016-17 Premier League campaign has been disappointing, but perhaps more worryingly, there have been unsavoury incidents at the London Stadium.
As reported by The Sun, West Ham supporters were fighting among themselves during the Premier League game against Watford in London last weekend.
It was reported by the British tabloid that scared children left the London Stadium in tears.
Former Arsenal attacker Merson has suggested that West Ham could lose young fans to Premier League rivals United if such incidents continue to happen at the London Stadium.

“Fans are fighting amongst themselves and kids have been leaving the ground in tears,” Merson wrote in The Daily Star. “Their mums and dads won’t take them in future if it carries on like that.
“If they’re not careful, before you know it, those kids will be supporting Manchester United, and West Ham will not be drawing 60,000 crowds any more.”

West Ham lost yet again this weekend, going down 4-2 to West Bromwich Albion away from home at The Hawthorns in the Premier League.
Slaven Bilic’s side are now 17th in the league table, just a point above the relegation zone.
As for United, Jose Mourinho’s side are going strong in the Premier League and are one of the favourites to win the title this season.
The Red Devils will take on Watford away from home at Vicarage Road in the league on Sunday afternoon.
