Football pundit Paul Merson says Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will not win the 2017/18 Premier League title.
Popular football pundit Paul Merson says that he can’t see either Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur win the 2017/18 Premier League title.
While commenting on Arsenal, he wrote in his column in the Daily Star, “Arsenal are Arsenal, they won’t win it.”
Merson also believes that Tottenham would struggle to win the Premier League.

The Sky Sports pundit justifies his claim by saying that Spurs have not had a great record away from home last season.
Tottenham will play all their home games at Wembley, which has not been a happy hunting ground for them in recent years.
Merson believes it is equivalent to playing all the 38 games away from home.
Furthermore, he has also aimed a sly dig at Tottenham’s summer transfer window, saying Maurico Pochettino’s side could struggle if key players get injured.
Spurs remain the only side in the Premier League that are yet to sign a player in the summer transfer window.
Merson says that if Harry Kane, the Premier League 2016/17 top scorer, gets injured, Tottenham’s season will crumble.
“Their away record wasn’t great last season and now they’re playing 38 away games because of Wembley. If Harry Kane gets injured it’s game over,” wrote Merson in his column for The Daily Star.
“You can’t win the league with 13 players. Impossible.”
