West Ham United failed to win against Leicester City in the Premier League last weekend.

Merson was far from impressed with the role of Ogbonna in the goal that West Ham conceded against Leicester City last week.
The Hammers played out a 1-1 draw with Leicester at the London Stadium in the Premier League last Friday evening.

Italy international central defender Ogbonna was responsible for the goal that the home team conceded after just eight minutes.
The 29-year-old centre-back completely missed a cross from the left-wing from Jamie Vardy, allowing Marc Albrighton to slot home from inside the West Ham penalty box.
It was one of the worst pieces of defending in the Premier League so far this season, and former Arsenal attacking midfielder Merson, 49, was far from impressed with Ogbonna.

Merson said about Ogbonna’s mistake on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News last Saturday afternoon (12:04pm, November 25, 2017): “That’s a professional footballer, that is. No, it is. That’s a professional footballer. How do you miss the ball completely like that?”
Ogbonna has been on the books of West Ham since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Italian and European giants Juventus for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £10 million.
