The former Gunner wants to see more from the current Arsenal stars.

Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has criticised current duo Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to the Daily Star.
The Gunners have started the season relatively well this year, picking up ten points from their first five games and currently sitting in fourth place in the table.
It is fair to say they are yet to hit top form, though, having only managed to beat the teams that many would say they should be beating.
Several of their key men are still finding their feet after busy summers on the international stage.

Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are two such players and Merson has criticised them.
He told the Daily Star: “Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are only turning up in flashes at the moment. They need to be doing it every game, week in, week out.”
A look at the stats shows that Merson’s criticism of the duo may actually be somewhat unwarranted.

Ozil has been a creative force again so far, and although he has yet to register an assist, he currently tops the club’s charts for key passes.
Sanchez, meanwhile, is currently the Gunners’ top scorer with three goals in his first five games.
Those stats show they have been performing, although perhaps a big display from both against Chelsea is what is really needed to convince Merson.
