Paul Merson says he expects Tottenham Hotspur to beat West Ham.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane applauds their fans after the match
Former Premier League star turned television pundit Paul Merson has backed Harry Kane’s Tottenham to comfortably beat West Ham United this weekend.
The two London clubs face off on Saturday evening at White Hart Lane in the Premier League for the final time, and Merson tells SkySports the home side will take the spoils.
Neither side entered the international break in particularly great form, but will be looking to start this crucial stretch of the season with a win.
Merson told SkySports he is predicting a 2-0 win for Tottenham Hotspur, arguing they are simply a more well oiled team than an inconsistent West Ham.

He said: “With West Ham still struggling, I can’t see anything but a Spurs win.
“These two really don’t like each other, full stop. It’s a big grudge game. To be unbeaten so far this season is some going in a difficult league.”
West Ham won the last meeting between the two teams 1-0, a game at Upton Park, which cost Tottenham the chance to go top of the league in March.
Tottenham may have revenge on their mind, but the priority should simply be getting back to winning ways, having failed to register a victory in all competitions since October 2.
In the Premier League they are yet to lose a game, mainly due to their excellent defensive record.
West Ham’s strikers have yet to score a single goal this season in the Premier League, an embarrassing record, and Tottenham’s mean backline hardly present an ideal opportunity to correct that.
