Tottenham Hotspur and their manager Mauricio Pochettino will be preparing for their EFL Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea.

Paul Merson has stated that the Tottenham players will have to ask themselves ‘do they want to win something’ as they have a number of big games coming up.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be preparing for their EFL Cup first-leg semi-final encounter against Chelsea on Tuesday night.
The winner of the two-legged tie will meet either Premier League champions Manchester City or League One side Burton Albion in the final at Wembley.
Ahead of Spurs’ crunch match against their London neighbours, Merson pointed out that Pochettino’s side have to take their game to the next level in order to win trophies.
“The question they [the Tottenham players] will have to ask themselves is, do they want to win something,” Merson told Sky Sports’ the Debate show on 07/01/2019 at 10:10 pm.
“At the end of the day, It’s [about] what you’ve won in the game. They’re never going to work again. They have earned money. Now, you have to go to that other level.”
In November, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri lost his unbeaten run in the Premier League when they were beaten 3-1 by Tottenham at Wembley.

Attacking midfielder Dele Alli, versatile forward Heung-min Son and star striker Harry Kane were on the scoresheet that night as they will be hoping to repeat the same feat once again.
Tottenham go into this fixture having dispatched League Two side Tranmere Rovers 7-0 on Friday night in the FA Cup, with Sarri’s side beating Championship outfit Nottingham Forest on home soil.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea’s star man Eden Hazard will lead the line for his side in north London or will one of Olivier Giroud or Alvaro Morata get the nod to start up front against Spurs.
