Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has impressed so far this season.

Kovacic spent last season on loan at Chelsea, before signing in the summer on a permanent deal from Real Madrid.
Merson wasn’t convinced by the Croatian international last term, who he felt wasn’t up to scratch.
However, Kovacic’s displays this time around have won Merson around.
“The job Frank Lampard is doing, he’s getting a tune out of everyone,” Merson said.
“You’ve only got to look at Kovacic, who last season made you question whether he ever played for Real Madrid with his performances, but you watch him now and he looks like a proper player.”
Kovacic has enjoyed a strong run of performances in a Chelsea shirt of late.
The 25-year-old started again last night, as the Blues picked up a 4-4 draw against Ajax.

Kovacic’s place in Chelsea’s line-up could come under threat in the coming weeks though, as Ngolo Kante is set to return to fitness.
Kante is edging ever closer to making a return, and when he does come back, it seems likely that he will walk straight back into Frank Lampard’s side’s starting line-up, which could see Kovacic have to drop to the bench.
Chelsea are next in action at the weekend when they take on Crystal Palace.
