Leeds United lost at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday.

The former Arsenal attacking midfielder, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, made the comments while discussing the strengths and weaknesses of Leeds and Sheffield United.
Merson made the comments ahead of the Yorkshire derby between Leeds and the Blades on Saturday afternoon, which ended in a 1-0 win for the visiting team.
Merson said about Leeds on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports Football on Saturday afternoon (12:18pm, March 16, 2019): “With Leeds, they haven’t really got anybody off the top of my head where you turn around to the bench and go, ‘Go and change the game for me’.”

Promotion challenge
The defeat to United means that Leeds are now third in the Championship table with 73 points from 38 matches.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are a point behind second-placed United and five points behind leaders Norwich City.
The loss at the hands of Chris Wilder’s side will have come as a bitter disappointment to Leeds, but there are enough games left this season for the West Yorkshire outfit to catch the Blades and even Norwich.
After the international break, Leeds will take on Millwall at Elland Road in the Championship.
