Liverpool dropped valuable points at Everton in the Premier League over the weekend.

Paul Merson has claimed that ‘you wouldn’t have’ Mo Salah back if you had him on trial following his performance for Liverpool during their goalless draw against Everton on Sunday.
The 26-year-old produced a poor display at Goodison Park as Jurgen Klopp’s side lost top spot in the Premier League table to Manchester City.
The away team produced the best chances of the game, with Salah missing a one-on-one opportunity, only for goalkeeper Jordan Pickford to deny him from finding the back of the net.
Speaking on the Debate show on Sky Sports Premier League (04/03/2019 at 10:20 pm), former Arsenal midfielder Merson wasn’t too impressed with Salah’s performance in the Merseyside derby.
“If Salah would have come on trial to your club last week, he trained all week and you are like ‘we are going to have a practise match now’, you wouldn’t have him back,” Merson told Sky Sports PL. “You wouldn’t. It was one of those games.”
In recent weeks, Liverpool have had a number of big pressured games – away at their neighbours and away at Old Trafford. On both occasions, they failed to score, but they did pick up two points during those matches.

Salah was criticised for his lack of impact in those encounters as the 200k-a-week forward [Spotrac] has scored one goal in his last six Premier League matches.
Over the course of the season, the Egypt international has played 29 matches in the league, finding the back of the net on 17 occasions and supplying eight assists along the way [transfermarkt].
Man City will host Watford next Saturday evening and they can open up a four-point lead on their title rivals, who play Burnley the following day at Anfield.
