Paul Merson has said on Sky Sports that reported West Ham United target Tammy Abraham will leave Chelsea at the end of the season.
The former Arsenal star, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that there will be plenty of clubs who will want to sign Abraham from Chelsea in the summer of 2021.
Eurosport reported last week that West Ham manager David Moyes wants to bring the 23-year-old England international striker to London Stadium.
Merson said about Abraham on Sky Sports: “I think he will be on his way, I think Abraham will be on his way. There will be plenty of takers, absolute plenty of takers for me, but not at one of the top clubs at the moment.”
Tammy Abraham to West Ham United?
Abraham has had injury problems this season, but when fit and available, the 23-year-old has failed to get a starting role in the team on a regular basis.
According to WhoScored, the England international striker has made 12 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea so far this season, scoring six goals and providing one assist in the process.
During the 2019-20 campaign, the youngster scored 15 goals and provided three assists in the league for the Blues, according to WhoScored.
West Ham could finish in the Premier League top four this season, and Abraham could be tempted by a move to the Hammers if they are in the Champions League.
