Lloris starred for Tottenham against West Ham on Saturday afternoon.

Paul Merson has told Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris’ form for the north Londoners this season has been “wobbly”, despite starring against West Ham United on Saturday.
The 31-year-old near single-handedly earned all three points for Spurs on Saturday, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side earned a 1-0 win over the Hammers with Erik Lamela scoring the only goal of the game.
World Cup winner Lloris made a number of excellent saves to prevent Marko Arnautovic from scoring at the London Stadium, keeping Spurs within just two points of league leaders Manchester City.
But former Arsenal man Merson reckons the former Lyon goalkeeper has been way below par this season, picking Manchester City’s Ederson above Lloris ahead of next Monday’s clash between the two sides.
“One’s a World Cup winner and one is not but I will just go for the Brazilian,” Merson said. “I’m not a great believer in goalkeepers being good on the ball but Ederson is a classy operator.
“Lloris has been a bit wobbly this season – sometimes he comes steaming out of his goal and he does not need to do that.”

Lloris has been sidelined for a thigh strain and has only managed six appearances in all competitions, but has conceded just six goals – keeping three clean sheets in that time.
Spurs are next in action in the Champions League against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night, while Manchester City go up against Shakhtar Donestk in Ukraine.
