Everton are reportedly interested in signing Joe Hart from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson has suggested in The Daily Star that Joe Hart should not move to Everton.
According to The Telegraph, Everton are interested in signing Hart from Premier League rivals Manchester City before the end of the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the Toffees are willing to secure the services of the England international goalkeeper either on a loan deal or on a permanent contract.
Former Arsenal and Aston Villa attacker Merson has asked why the 29-year-old should move to Everton, as the Merseyside outfit do not win anything.

“If Manchester City bring in another keeper then Joe Hart has got to go,” Merson wrote in The Daily Star. “But it’s a big decision for him because where can he go? All the top teams have already sorted that position for the season.
“Would he want to go abroad? I don’t know. He could go to Everton but are they going to threaten to win anything?”

Merson is right about Everton and Hart not winning anything at Goodison Park, but where else can the England international go? Liverpool? Perhaps, but would the Reds win anything this season?
The likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea do not need a goalkeeper at the moment, which means that leaving City for any club in England before the end of the summer transfer window would be a step down for Hart.
According to The Telegraph, German outfit Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Hart this month.
Perhaps the former Shrewsbury Town goalkeeper should consider moving to Dortmund, who finished second in the Bundesliga last season and will feature in the Champions League during the 2016-17 campaign.
