Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings is part of the England national team.

Paul Merson has spoken highly of Aston Villa central defender Tyrone Mings in The Daily Star.
The former Arsenal and Villa star, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, is pleased to see Mings earn a call-up to the latest England squad.
The 26-year-old – joined the Villans on a permanent contract from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window for an initial fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £20 million after a loan spell at Villa Park during the second half of last season – has been included in the England squad for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo.
Republic of Ireland manager Mick McCarthy worked with Mings at Ipswich Town, and he has raved about the central defender.
Merson wrote in The Daily Star: “Tyrone Mings is fortunate to make it in. He’s only been in the Premier League two minutes. Mings is an athlete.
“He had a bad injury at Bournemouth but looks full of confidence now. He was a big part of Villa getting promoted and he won’t let you down. I’m pleased for him.”
McCarthy said about Mings on talkSPORT: “I was walking across to watch him in a practice match and after watching him for five minutes I said, ‘I’ll sign him now’. He was that good.
“He’s done as well as I would’ve expected and you knew he was going to be a player from the minute we signed him.”

Bouncing back
Much was expected of Mings when he joined Bournemouth from Ipswich in 2015, but the defender had injury issues during his time at the Cherries and could not really make an impact.
The 26-year-old has bounced back strongly at Villa and has been one of the best players in his position in the Premier League so far this season.
