Paul Merson and Matt Le Tissier praise Tottenham Hotspur’s Lucas Moura

Lucas Moura has been playing well for Tottenham Hotspur this season.

Paul Merson said on the Gillette Soccer Special show on Sky Sports News on Sunday (12:45pm, May 12, 2019) that Tottenham Hotspur winger Lucas Moura is underrated.

The former Arsenal attacking midfield believes that the 26-year-old Brazil international is a good player.

Matt Le Tissier also praised Moura on the show, with the Southampton legend stating that the former Paris Saint-Germain will be a key player for Tottenham next season.

Merson said about Moura on the Gillette Soccer Special show on Sky Sports News on Sunday (12:45pm, May 12, 2019): “They bought Moura in the January window. He is a good player. I think he is underrated, if I am being honest.”

Le Tissier said about Moura on the Gillette Soccer Special show on Sky Sports News on Sunday (12:52pm, May 12, 2019): “I think next season will be a big year for him. I think he could well next season see himself as a permanent fixture in the team.”

Moura has been superb for Tottenham this season, and it is now clear just how manager Mauricio Pochettino signed him from PSG in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £25 million.

It took a while for the Brazilian to settle in at Spurs, but now, the winger is one of the best and most important players in the team.

According to WhoScored, the 26-year-old has scored 10 goals in 25 Premier League starts and five goals in 11 Champions League appearances for Spurs this season, including a hat-trick against Ajax in Amsterdam.
